We embarked on a noble mission: crafting moving, interactive street decorations for our village’s annual festivals. At first, we wrestled with relay-based techniques, but eventually, we saw the light (and fewer sparks) by switching to an Arduino as the brains of the operation. The AFSM software and this website were born during those times—partly to save time, mostly to free up more minutes for the important work of drinking beer. Nowadays, I also use the site for documentation… and to remind myself of the brilliance behind our beer-fueled creations.
